Neurodivergence or Neurodivergent is the term for when someone's brain processes, learns, and/or behaves differently from what is considered "typical". The brains of Neurodivergent people are wired differently.
Neurodivergence is the term for people whose brains function differently in one or more ways than is considered standard or typical. There are many different ways that neurodivergence manifests, ranging from very mild ways that most people would never notice to more obvious ways that lead to a person behaving differently than is standard in our society. We'll examine the most common types of neurodivergence and the ways they manifest ahead.
Neurodiversity comes in many different forms such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, autism, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety and depression, panic diorders, dyxlexia, developmental learning/co-ordination/language conditions, personality disorders, dyscalculia, bipolar disorder, tourette's syndrome and tic discorders, trauama, ptsd, victims of severe abuse, or other neurological or developmental conditions.

Neurodiversity is the concept that there are a variety of ways that people's brains process information, function, and present behaviorally. That we're all wired differently, rather than thinking there is something wrong or problematic when some people don't operate similarly to others, neurodiversity embraces all differences.

Neurotypical is a descriptor that refers to someone who has the brain functions, behaviors, and processing considered standard or typical. So average normal people that aren't neurodivergent. Neurotypical people may have no idea they are because the subject has likely never come up for them before. These people usually hit all of their developmental and behavioral milestones at the same times and ages that are considered standard for most people. Once grown, they generally move through life without having to wonder if their brains function in the same way as others do.

Our Services, Network, and Community are all Developed, Designed, Configured, and Hosted by Our Community & Everything we've Setup and Created was Created For Our Community and the Members in it. The Core Founders of this Community are Professional Programmers, Designers, Information Technology Specialists, and Technology Enthusiasts that contribute to Open Source Technology. Our Network of Services uses both Custom Software written specifically for this Community as well as many Free and Open Source Technologies that we utilize to make this Network/Community possible. Every aspect of our Network from the Code that gives it life to the Servers that keep it running, are provided by the Community.

We came together and decided to create this Network & Community to help find and connect with other unusual individuals that are similar to ourselves, as well as to build and provide a space that is comfortable and useful. We wanted to build a space where we could speak openly, share content, knowledge, and art that is relevant to our interests, while making connections with people that are like us and understand us. We also want our Community and Network to be a calm and relaxed place to rest from our struggles, from masking, from neurotypicals that do not understand us, and from the constant bombardment of hateful negativity, advertisements, and the invasion of privacy that are common practice on most social media platforms in this day and age.

The only data we collect are for security purposes (logs of servers) and for user account purposes (like usernames/passwords/emails/user generated content), any data we collect is stored in a hashed, encrypted, and secured databases. We never give anyone access to any of our data and have no advertisements, everything is hosted and provided by the Community.

We wanted our own private Social Network that wasn't tainted by greed, profits, and advertising, so we developed and setup our own. We are tired of the constant advertisements, invasion of privacy, and limited freedom of speech and expression. So we setup a community powered social network that is 100% free, safe, secure, has no advertisements, doesn't invade privacy, and allows people to post whatever they want without censorship. If you build it, they will come. We built this social network platform for neurodivergent people like us that simply want to share and communicate.

Yes, we host several services and servers. They're free for all Heretic.Network Community Members to request access to and use at any time. You can find more information on discord/revolt/irc. Everything we operate is hosted and maintained by us and for us.

All Discord, Revolt, and IRC Users/Community Members start off with limited standard access to our services/severs and can gain higher ranks and more access to special content, channels, and services by actively talking, participating, and building trust and reputation in our community. So if you join, you introduce yourself, talk to users, and use our services you will Build Reputation in the Community and be rewarded with a Higher Rank with Greater Access.

Our Network Community and Servivces are all programmed, designed, hosted by, and created for our Community Members. Our Community uses many pieces of Free and Open Source technology as well as custom made software, unique technology, and custom hosted services.
Community Powered Explained
If you look up "Heretic" in a dictionary, you might see that the second definition is "a person holding an opinion at odds with what is generally accepted" or "anyone who does not conform to an established attitude, doctrine, or principle". You might also notice that the synonyms for "heretic" are "nonconformist, unorthodox thinker, freethinker, iconoclast, renegade, disruptor, skeptic, agnostic, and atheist". Given how off the rails and unacceptable this world can be at times and how much more rare that intelligence, logic, reason, and critical thinking are becoming, I thought it was a fitting name. Considering that I care about our planet's health, human rights, equality, truth, and the future, it often feels like I'm holding opinions at odds with what is generally accepted by most people these days. Being Neurodivergent also often makes me feel even more at odds with what the generally accepted norm is. I picked the name because it's ironically fitting and the few people I've met that are like me often feel the same way, like they don't fit in well at most places either.
